From April 21st to 22nd, POK® was once again at the side of Team 18 which participated for the 16th time in the mythical 24H of Le Mans Moto. For 12 years now, POK has been a partner of this emblematic motorcycle racing team, in order to share common values: the spirit of the fire brigade, competition, cohesion, determination and success.
It is now 18 years since Team 18 was created by a handful of passionate firefighters with the dream of finishing a 24 hour race and then very quickly the desire for victory became strong. The highlight of this great adventure was a place as world vice-champion in their category in 2009.
For this 16th edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans, it is a very busy week which awaited Team 18 with tests on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to discover the new team with its 2 new Spanish riders.
The tests were good but a bad crash on Friday made it impossible for one of the riders to take part in the race; it caused a wrist fracture. It was thus a tiring week, but with a very beautiful atmosphere and a very great professionalism of the members, the whole marked by a 22nd place on the starting grid among the 60 teams representing various nations of the motorcycle.
The race was cautious, but very efficient with a top 15 very quickly in the first hours. A perfect night, without mistakes, both on the part of the drivers and on the part of the team during each refuelling.
Finally, after moments of stress the beautiful red motorcycle wearing the number 18, crosses the line in 16th position out of 60 (6th in its category).
This year again this event was the occasion for the POK company to realize beautiful meetings by inviting, thanks to the structure of the Team 18, customers partners, granting us their trust of long time.
